Coursework A Guide

Things to be included in your coursework:

Development (FOR EXPRESS ONLY)
  • Decide on conducting a survey, food journal, case study, etc for further findings
  • Analyse the results obtained

Decision Making
  • (For express) Based on development analysis, decide on the dishes that are suitable for your task or subject. State the rational for choice of dishes, modify recipes to suit your task and ensure modified recipe servings is for 1. Always relate reasonings with research & development.
  • (For Normal Academic) Decide on the dishes that are suitable for your task. State the rational for choice of dishes, modify recipes to suit your task and ensure modified recipe servings is for 1. Always relate reasonings with research.

Planning
  • Equipments list
  • Shopping list (ingredients required for all recipes)
  • Ingredients list (for individual recipe)
  • Time plan / Work plan (you are given 2hours to complete the practical) : includes prepare, cook & serving of dishes, washing up of utensils and equipments.

Evaluation / Conclusion
  • Evalute on your entire coursework, for every section (task analysis, research, development(express), decision making, planning, execution(practical).
  • Points to take note: Reflect on what you have done and learn, what went well and what went wrong, what can be improved and how, what can you conclude on your findings, what were your strengths and weaknesses, etc.
